Fran Martin Promoted to Training Manager for Eide Chrysler and Eide Ford

There’s a new training manager at Eide Chrysler and Eide Ford, but she has a very familiar face!

Fran Martin has been working for the Eide family since April 2018 as a sales consultant at the Ford dealership here in Bismarck. She has become a customer favorite and a leader amongst her co-workers. 

Since she’s the best of the best on the Eide sales team, Fran was an obvious choice to become the new training manager for Eide Chrysler and Eide Ford. Join us in congratulating her on the promotion, and learn more about what this means for Eide customers! 

“I’ll Lead By Example”

The new training manager position Fran is taking on is an extension of Eide’s existing training program led by Tim Lickteig. Fran’s job is to continue the initial training that happens with Tim, and to provide a support system for new Eide hires and existing staff.

Fran says the most important thing is that the Eide Philosophy will be further exemplified by the addition of this new position.

“I’ll lead by example and solidify our mission and our vision of how we do business within the new hires,” Fran says. “I’ll provide consistent training for our current sales consultants to grow and attain a higher level of sales.”

Fran adds that it’s really exciting to watch the staff grow and develop, while staying true to the process of how Eide does business. 

What This Means for Eide Customers

With the new training manager role, Fran is spending less face-to-face time with customers — the aspect of her job she’ll miss the most.

“I have customers who travel to Bismarck from all over North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota because of the way Eide does business and how I take care of them,” Fran says. 

Fran says that even though she won’t be on the sales floor anymore, she will still take great care of her customers and pair them up with a top-notch Eide sales consultant.

“At Eide, we’ll take good care of you no matter what, and I’ll still have a hand in that,” she promises.

A New Role and A New Season of Life for Fran

Change can be both difficult and fun, and as Fran looks back on her time in the auto industry, she says that this new role is a win-win situation for her and the Eide team.

Around the time of her 50th birthday, Fran left a previous industry and asked herself, “what do I want to be when I grow up?” It was during that time when a friend invited her to learn more about the auto industry. 

“I met up with him to talk, and the rest is history,” Fran says. “I’ve enjoyed the auto industry since. And now I’ve been given the opportunity to teach people why I love it and how they can be successful in it. I’m so excited.”

Fran adds that she’s extremely grateful to the Eide organization and the opportunities they give their employees.

“We have a huge opportunity here to grow from within,” she says. “This is a huge benefit for anyone who is looking for a career change and financial stability. I’m so grateful to be able to grow in this organization and be an asset in this capacity.”
