Video: How to Remove the Top and Doors on the Jeep Gladiator or Jeep Wrangler

Summer is here and it’s finally time to remove the top from your Jeep Gladiator or Jeep Wrangler!

The Jeep Freedom Top by Mopar is one of the easiest tops to remove. With this step-by-step video from Eide Chrysler’s Jeep expert Dre Parks, you’ll be driving around Bismarck with the top off in no time.

Follow along with Dre as he demonstrates how to remove the top from this new Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.

(:01) Find your Torx tool kit in your glove compartment.
(:30) Remove the bolts from the front doors.
(1:17) Disconnect the wire harness from the inside of the door and remove the doorstop.
(2:40) Lift the front doors off of the Jeep body.
(2:55) Remove the bolts and wire harness on the back doors.
(3:36) Slide the back door off and repeat the process on the other side.
(4:04) Remove the Freedom Top.
(4:32) Remove the bolts from the top.
(4:48) Remove the wired harness from the back seats.
(5:25) Remove the final six bolts from the back.
(5:46) Fold the seats up and store your bolts in the backseat storage.
(6:00) Remove the top with the help of another person.
(6:30) Replace your tools in the toolset and put it back in the glove compartment.

Finally, Dre reminds us to store the Jeep’s doors and top in a secure place where they won’t become scratched or stolen.
