A BRAND NEW LOOK IN 2019

It's a big year for North Dakota RAM truck drivers as the new 2019 model is completely redesigned both inside and out. That means there is a lot to talk about with this remodel! So far, we've covered the Comfort + Convenience and Design + Styling features that set this year apart from other model years.

This week, we're taking a look at the 2019 RAM 1500's updated performance and handling features.

This year's RAM 1500 has a unique frame. It's made from high-strength steel, which means that this RAM is more durable. So matter what you throw its way, it's ready.

Let's take a closer look at how that affects its drivability.

TRIM LEVELS

This year, Dodge stepped up its game and equipped the RAM with best-in-class towing capability of up to 12,750 pounds. Not only that, but this year you can opt for Class-Exclusive Active Level Four Corner Air Suspension. That feature adds automatic load leveling to your RAM, so you can rest easy knowing your load will get wherever you're going safely.

The 2019 RAM 1500 also gives you a total of 6 trim options:

  • Limited
    5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine
  • Laramie Longhorn
    5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine
  • Rebel
    3.6-Liter V6 24 VVT eTorque Engine Upgrade
  • Laramie
    5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine
  • BigHorn / Lone Star
    3.6-Liter V6 24 VVT eTorque Engine Upgrade
  • Tradesman
    3.6-Liter V6 24 VVT eTorque Engine Upgrade

Each trim offers you unique features, and it's hard to say which trim level is "top of the line", so we'll leave that up to you to decide for yourself when you come in for a test drive

ENGINE

This year, you can choose from two main engine options that build off of either a 3.6L or a 5.7L configuration

  • 3.6-Liter V6 24V VVT eTorque Engine Upgrade I
  • 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine

To make things even better, you can opt for a Torque mild hybrid system, which improves overall performance by using a 48-volt battery-powered, belt-driven motor generator instead of a traditional alternator. Talk about ingenuity!
