The 6.7L Cummins engine turns your RAM 2500 into a dependable powerhouse. This year's RAM 2500 has a unique frame. It's made from high-strength steel, which means that this RAM is more durable. So matter what you throw its way, it's ready.
The available Proven and Legendary 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine incorporates Class-Exclusive smart diesel exhaust engine braking technology to help control the descent of the RAM 2500 on a downward slope. Working much like Speed Control, the engine brake uses a variable nozzle on the diesel’s turbo to maintain smooth, less aggressive braking while helping to provide vehicle stability and reduced wear on the disc brakes. Especially handy when hauling heavy loads here in Western North Dakota.
6.4L HEMI® V8: The available Heavy-Duty 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine offers RAM 2500 series pickups the legendary power you’ve come to expect from both names here in Bismarck. Two spark plugs per cylinder increase peak power and torque, reducing exhaust emissions.

5.7L HEMI V8 (STANDARD): Standard on the RAM 2500, the 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) gives the driver an efficient engine option without sacrificing performance.

Plus, aluminum cylinder heads combine with hemispherical combustion chambers for outstanding airflow, leading to indispensable power and torque.

Modified for increased torque load of the base-output diesel engine, the Class-Exclusive available six-speed manual transmission also carries a wear-compensating clutch for like-new clutch pedal performance throughout the life of the drivetrain.
This manual transmission is only available with the Proven and Legendary 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine.
