August has nearly come and gone, and with the final days of summer comes another Eide Chrysler Employee of the Month!
Jacob Vigessa spends his work day in the service department giving TLC to Bismarck vehicles. He’s a valuable member of the Eide team, so we want you to get to know him better.
“Jacob was chosen as Employee of the Month because he came in on his day off to finish a vehicle that a customer really needed to get taken care of,” explains Steve Schaefbauer, Service Manager.
“He changed his schedule on his day off to finish the job. Most mechanics won’t do that, but Jacob did.”
Steve adds that Jacob is an asset to the team because he shows up for work each day with a hard-working attitude, and he never argues about anything.
“He gets along with everyone in the shop, and there’s never been a complaint against him.”
Thank you, Jacob, for going above and beyond for our Bismarck customers and for being a great teammate at Eide Chrysler!
Q: How long have you been on the Eide Chrysler team?
I’ve been here since Eide Chrysler bought the former Dodge store, and I had been there since May of 2013.
Q: What do you like about working at Eide Chrysler?
At the start, I got into automotive to learn something that has a practical skill to use in life, even if I didn’t make a career of it. Once I got a job here, I realized how much I enjoy fixing things. It’s a rewarding aspect of the job, and I like the team here enough to stick around all these years!
Q: What’s your favorite challenge to come across in the service department?
It’s not too often that I work on them, but it’s always fun working on the SRT cars that Chrysler makes. But it’s hard to narrow it down to one or two things.
Q: What’s something you wish you could educate vehicle owners about?
I feel like there’s so many things! A huge thing that I would tell customers is that most things can be found in the owner’s manual. ;)
Q: What’s your dream vehicle?
That’s a tough one! Probably a 1970 ‘Cuda.
Q: How do you spend your free time?
In the warmer months, I like camping and hiking, and in the winter I go out to the Rocky Mountains to ski as often and I can.
Q: What’s it take to be Employee of the Month?
Keep a positive attitude each day, even when the work can feel like it’s up to your neck. I try to keep others’ priorities over my own.
