“It’s a very unique truck in a number of ways,” Eide Chrysler general sales manager Don Pask said. “Because it’s the highest standard horsepower pick-up truck to ever come out from any manufacturer, it’s basically a sports car in a pick-up truck.” 

The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine features 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, and the TRX is the first RAM truck to be equipped with Launch Control with Launch Assist, which regulates engine RPM and monitors wheel slip feedback in order to always achieve the fastest possible acceleration rate. Speaking of, you’ll have a 4.5 second 0 to 60 MPH time — the fastest of any truck on the market! 

As if it wasn’t already obvious, the new 2021 RAM 1500 TRX is nothing like the other RAM models on the road today. 

“Any time you get a vehicle with this kind of horsepower, it’s going to be dramatically different than the other RAMs you see on the road,” Pask said.

In addition to speed, the TRX features useful functionality with an 8100-pound tow rating and 1310 pounds of payload capacity, perfect for hauling your camper, recreational toys or work trailers across North Dakota and beyond. 

Compared to the traditional RAM 1500, the flared fenders are 8 inches wider, with a 6 inch increase in track width. A stronger frame and smarter suspension also make for better off-road capabilities. The 35-inch all-terrain tires are mounted on 18-inch wheels, giving the truck 11.8 inches of ground clearance. The engine can ford up to 32 inches of water — the sky’s the limit on where you want to take this truck! 

The 2021 RAM 1500 TRX includes eight drive modes, like snow, sport and mud / sand modes, to accommodate for all of your off- and on-road adventures. Snow mode will certainly be a good fit for North Dakota winters with an initial 45/55 torque split and managed engine horsepower for optimal launch performance on snow and ice.
