As the seasons turn here in Bismarck, we’re celebrating another Eide Chrysler Employee of the Month!
Paige Brouseau spends her work day as a cashier in the service department, where she interacts with our customers. She’s a valuable member of the Eide team, and we want you to get to know her better.
“Paige stayed at the store on a Saturday to close out a lot of service tickets,” explains Steve Schaefbauer, service manager. “She’s always willing to help out and make things right. She’s also very good with customers. She does her job very well.”
Thank you, Paige, for going above and beyond for our Bismarck customers and for being a great teammate at Eide Chrysler!
Q: How long have you been on the Eide Chrysler team?
It’ll be three-and-a-half years in December. Before coming here I was a part-time receptionist over at Eide Ford.
Q: What do you like about working at Eide Chrysler?
The whole reason I applied for the part-time reception job over at Eide Ford was because it worked well with my full time job – and I ended up loving it so much that I left my full-time job to work only at Eide.
I just really love the fact that everybody here is so warm and welcoming. It’s really a giant family. Jesse [Peterson] and Steve [Schaefbauer] are the most understanding managers I’ve ever worked with. They’re right there for you. It’s like an actual family for me, 7:30 to 4:30 every day.
Q: What does a normal day look like for you?
It varies on the day. Mostly I’m checking out customers – taking payment for parts, work, or accessories. I’m also helping our service advisors get customers checked in. I also help out with moving vehicles and grabbing rentals. There’s quite a variety of things to do!
Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
People aren’t always excited to get service done on their vehicles, and the biggest challenge is keeping our customers happy. I just want them to leave happier than when they came in.
Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
We recently had a couple passing through town on the way to their daughter’s wedding and they needed to stop in to have us take a look at their vehicle. We did what we could to get them in right away and back on the road. They were able to make it to the wedding. That’s the sort of stuff I love. We really do care about people.
Q: What is the most common question you get from customers?
I sit in a glass office. It’s a desk with windows all around it. We call it the “fishbowl” here. If people haven’t ever been here before, they’ll come up and tap on the glass and ask what I did to get locked up in the fishbowl.
Q: What should people look for when they choose a place to get auto service in Bismarck?
They should go through the reviews online. A lot of our reviews mention specific advisors, and we just have a lot of loyal customers – a lot of regulars. When you come here more than once, it’s like a family and we know who you are. You can come through the door and be greeted by your name.
We're more interested in seeing what you're looking for and hearing what your main concern is. You might come in for an oil change, but we try our hardest to take care of everything. We're going to make sure you leave happier than when you came in. If we can't get you in that day, we'll you get into the next available time.
Q: How do you spend your free time?
I have a 1-year-old at home, so a lot of family stuff. Playing with the dog. Going down a slide 15 times in a row. My life revolves around Eide Chrysler and my daughter Asher. From 7:30 to 4:30, Eide is my family, but from 4:30 to 7:30, I'm Asher’s mom.
Q: Who would you like to thank for the award?
Steve. He's hands-down the best manager I've ever had. I've never had someone I've respected so much. He is always there for us and I really appreciate it.
