Another month; another standout employee at Eide Chrysler.

Meet Justin Harmon, our December 2018 Employee of the Month! He's the marketing director at Eide Chrysler, and he's always looking for ways to better market Eide Chrysler!

General Manager Jesse Peterson says that Justin was selected as Employee of the Month because "He has incredible creativity and is able to teach himself new things that he uses to keep our video and social media marketing fresh and entertaining."

"We knew we needed to invest in this type of a position in our company, I’m just really glad we found Justin, I don’t think we could have found a better person."

Congrats to Justin Harmon for being the December Employee of the Month at Eide CDJR!

Q: Do you think people know what being a marketing director means?
There’s quite a few people at the dealership who don’t know what I do. The interesting thing about my job is my responsibilities sort of fluctuate from month-to-month.
 
I do video production, help out with CRMthere’s always a new marketing challenge at the dealership. I really enjoy working on those projects!
 
Q: How do you describe your role as Marketing Director?
My job at Eide Chrysler is to find new and creative ways to distinguish this dealership from our competitors in this market. 
 
Q: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
The thing I really do enjoy about working at Eide Chrysler is learning new creative tools to market the dealership and its products and services.
 
That, and seeing an idea grow from a few scribbles to a successful campaign. That’s what I really do enjoy about my work. 
 
Q: What’s the toughest part of the job?
Coming up with a new idea or a new concept. I’m probably the biggest critic about my work, and I’m very diligent about not wanting to do the same thing over and over.
 
I’m always trying to come up with new things that will make us stand out. Sometimes those ideas just won't come and then they'll hit me like a flash! 
 
Q: What's your dream vehicle?
The Batmobile so I can get through traffic a lot faster. And it gets great gas mileage because it runs on jet fuel. ????
 
Q: What do you do in your free time? 
I’m into Triathlons in a big way, health, and fitness - one of the things I do in my spare time. Last year my wife and I participated in Iron Man Wisconsin. It's a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and full marathon. We did really well.
 
It was my very first Iron Man. I got mine done in just over 14 hours. My wife beat me by 20 or 25 minutes because she’s a much better swimmer than I am!
 
Q: How long have you been at the dealership?
I started at the dealership in August 1st of 2017. 
 
Q: What does a typical workday look like for you?
At the beginning of the month-that’s the busiest-I’m lining up all the marketing messages for Eide and working with our agency partners to make sure the messages are aligned.
 
As the weeks progress, I’m able to dive into more side projects, whether that’s landing pages, CRM help, or helping out other Eide stores. 
 
Q: Why is Eide Chrysler a great place to do business? 
In my opinion, Eide Ford and Eide CDJR make it easy for anyone to buy a vehicle. The best way they do that is how they price their vehicles. Whether you're on their website or walking the lot, the prices are all clear.
 
There's no mystery, no games. Every vehicle has a price that people can understand. The discounts are all already applied and there for you to easily see. For any customer shopping for a car, there’s something they can find very easily, whether it’s on our lot or on our website



Jesse says, "It would be hard for me to pick a favorite, but the most impressive thing I’ve seen him do was the video of Jason Hutslar and Better Looking Jason Hutslar

That was just incredible. He taught himself how to do that and then did it. I think the coolest part about having Justin on our staff is that he produces our content 100% in-house. Shooting, editing, graphics, special effects, everything. Justin has been a great addition to our team.
