When we launched Eide Chrysler in Bismarck, we were excited to work with the great sales staff in place at Eide Chrysler. Our stand-out salesperson from December is Jason Hutslar. "Huts" sold 19 vehicles for the month, an excellent accomplishment considering the monumental change in management and nearly 5 feet of snow that fell during the month!
Jason has only been with Eide for the two months since our Chrysler store opened, but he's worked in auto sales for two and a half years, and so far, he's made a strong impression.
"Jason came out and sold 19 vehicles," said General Sales Manager Jesse Schuchard. "The big thing that I noticed is he worked well with our internet customers, and he's the first to greet people when they come through the door."
Hutslar's drive to take care of customers is what leads to his strong sales numbers, but that's not what drives him.
"I'm here for my customers," Jason said. "It's nice to get a paycheck but as long as I've got smiling faces, that's why I do it."
Sales staff like Jason understand how customer needs have changed in recent years, especially with most people doing research for their shopping online.
"It's not about selling people anymore," he said. "It's finding that need."
He said that sales staff can best help by learning what their customers need, and providing that next level of research where the customers can see and touch the cars, trucks, or SUVs they are considering.
"Anybody can sell a car," Jesse Schuchard said. "We want our team to help people find their car."
Jesse said customers are in great hands with Jason.
"When a customer comes in and Jason's talking to them, I know that they're going to get taken care of," he said.
Why is Eide Chrysler different from other Bismarck dealerships?
Jason: From what I've seen in the past and what I'm seeing now, our ownership cares less if we sell vehicles than they care about the customer.
I don't just want to sell the person across from me. I want to be the person them and all their friends trust.
What is your favorite vehicle to sell?
Jason: The one that suits my customer the best.
How do you spend your free time?
Jason: I'm either spending time with my family or playing softball.
Who would you like to thank for this award?
Jason: My customers, plus God and my family and Jesse. Hi mom!
